Which country's leaders are responsible for more murders of children, women and men in such wars?

What does the answer to that question mean to you?

(edit to be more precise)

11. That's outside the 50 year range...
And in any event you could argue that it was one big war.

9. The 50 year limit (lclarified in an edit) aside, do you really think that is true?
After WWII the US occupied and set up gov'ts in West Europe, and the USSR in the East, but since then there is no contest.

10. Many a proxy war in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East
And of course there is Vietnam and Afghanistan... the latter both the russians and us... directly involved

Did I mention Korea?

So yes, we both have had a hand in this... and the cold war almost went hot a few times to boot

15. Learn to read,
Edited on Sat Feb-07-09 07:04 PM by nadinbrzezinski
and learn some history

There were RUSSIAN pilots both at Mig Alley and Nam

SO yes, they were involved as well

Granted, of all the conflicts of the cold war the Vietnam war is one that you could make an argument that it was a COLONIAL war, and not part of the cold war... forced yes, but you could.

There is plenty of fodder

Now do tell me, exactly what did the russians do in Hungary 1956? Chekoslovaquia, 1968

Or for that matter, Afghanistan?

If you are blind to the truth, or just want to think that only the US is involved in this.... sorry charlie, show your ignorance to the world

Granted, in the US most people are just as ignorant, willfully so I fear, as you are

7. Apologies to the first 3 responders. I failed to

include "in the last 50 years" as I had meant before hitting send. I corrected as quickly (2 minutes is light speed for me) as possible, since I didn't want comparisons to Hitler, the Roman Empire, Genghis Khan and Alexander the Great.

(edit to fix stuff)

I know of the Falklands, but I'm not sure how that equates in your mind to Vietnam, Korea, Guatemala, Iraq, Panama, Iraq, and so on and so on. Care to clarify?

(edit tiny typo)
