My only issue with Ms. Suleman: Why did she throw her parents under the bus?
http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/29038814/

"...I just longed for certain connections and attachments with another person that I really lacked, I believe, growing up,” she replied.

...

“Feeling of self and identity,” Suleman replied. “I didn't feel as though, when I was a child, I had much control of my environment. I felt powerless. And that gave me a sense of predictability. Reflecting back on my childhood, I know it wasn't functional. It was pretty dysfunctional, and whose isn't?”

In their golden years when they should be retired and relaxed, they are forced to be live in babysitters to six young kids. Their credit is ruined and they have no money. They lost everything fooling around with her and *her* dysfunctional family. So why did she throw them under the bus like that?

1. I noticed that, too
She said because she was an only child....

She is clearly suffering from some mental issues of some kind.

2. I thought that was disgusting. I wish they would stop helping her.
I've never seen such abuse of a pair of aging parents.

3. There may be a link in what she has done
to those children and the resentment she feels towards her parents. Is she trying to punish them?

6. Maybe, but then why does she trust them to raise
the ones she already had?

9. This one sentence tells me more about this women's lack
of planning and care for all the children in her care. “I know I'll be able to afford them when I'm done with my schooling,” It is all about "her".

10. It's hard to say who has the more serious mental health problem. . .
the pitiful woman or her unethical doctor. According to KO last night, the doc is facing ethics charges. I think this entire brood of children is being thrown under the bus. Sick and sad.

11. “I didn't feel as though, when I was a child, I had much control of my environment. I felt
powerless."

Umm, riiight. Much like every other child in the entire world.

So, just how much control do you think a 2 or 3 or 4 year old should be given over their environment?
How much power should they have? Should they have the power to stick their fingers in sockets,
run with scissors and eat the food out of the dog's bowl?

This woman is in dire need of psychiatric help.
And while you're at it, better start pencilling in appts. for all 14 of her kids...
