At some point, a name for the recession/job loss/economic crash will come. Right now, it lacks an adequate label, partly because we are still sliding, and no one knows how far it will go.

What label will emerge to describe this time and this horrible economic situation?

12. The Great Regression

The effects in fact of more than 8 years of de-evolution.

Once this nation was evolving, learning, growing...
I am currently witnessing the effects of several years of the exact opposite.

It can be most clearly seen in the current debates between Republicans and Democrats.

They are using a "tax cut" over "spending" argument to successfully lobby for what may be a %50 change in this bill toward a disproven theory. This de-evolved parade of ideas has not only resulted in our current crises but has also become metastasized into the very means of enacting a "solution".

The opposite of adaptation and growth - (Devolution/De-evolution?) Continuing to allow proven failure to guide future action.
It is an unwillingness to adapt and learn that has lead us instead further into decay.

Much of this is off subject yet the effects of what I am witnessing would be aptly described as

"The Great Regression."
Loss of wealth, Intelligence, progress, health, growth and well being to regression.
