The RNC begs for help on right wing talk radio
By John Amato Saturday Feb 07, 2009 6:45am

Tony and Karen emailed me this tidbit and I thought I would share.

Please take a look at the RNC website - http://www.rnc.org/ On the right hand side is a link that goes to a list of all of the right wing radio shows, along with a plea to promote the RNC. The Bush administration was constantly denying that talk radio was just another arm of their party. The RNC seems to have given up this pretense. It was blatant government propaganda for eight years. Sickening!

Is there any doubt that Rush Limbaugh rules the GOP? Michael Steele has to beg for help from wingnut talk radio. How embarrassing.

2. They're becoming ever more brazen- just like the fundie churches
because they're betting that Obama and the Dems are too timid to re-regulate the media.

Something for those opposing the FCC promulgating a new fairness doctrine (among other things) to consider. Not only are these corporations engaging in an epidemic of lying about public policy- and polluting the public airwaves with hate speech, but they've dropped even the pretence of any sort of objective public interest obligations.

8. A large part of the audience of right-wing talk
was born in the 1930's (or earlier).

4. I don't get it. How does callng people who are already wingnuts
help the GOP? It seems to make more sense, to me at least, to call progressive shows and make the case for the GOP. What's the point in preaching to the choir?

5. Free speech my ass!
This is the best reason to bring back the fairness doctrine.

These guys are nothing but a political propaganda machine.

7. I seem to remember
Bush inviting Hannity, Boortz, and Beck(?) to the WH back in 2006 or 2007 for consultation. Of course, NONE of them have ever really tried to maintain any pretense of objectivity as to who they support politically on their shows.

9. The craziest of crazies are on that list.
It reads like a who's who of nut-jobs.

Laura Ingraham
Lars Fucking Larson
The Savage Wiener
Hugh Fucking Hewitt
Neal "go out and sell your ass" Boortz
Rusty "Hussein" Humphries
Ollie "war criminal" North
Glen Beck
Janet "la, la, la, la, I can't hear you" Parshall

No wonder Right Wingers are so freaking stupid.
They listen to all of these whack-jobs each day.
