Radical Environmentalist Sentenced to 22 Years in Prison

Marie Mason, a radical activist who committed an act of "domestic terrorism" by helping to start a fire at Michigan State Agriculture Hall that did more than $1 million in damage, has been sentenced to nearly 22 years in prison.

In her plea agreement, Mason admitted to causing an additional $3 million in damages from other acts she committed from 1999-2003, such as destroying homes in Detroit and Indiana and setting fire to boats owned by a man who raised minks.
