Cheney's "Amazing Knowledge"?

"Amazing Knowledge"?

KIRAN CHETRY: He also talked about the fact that he thought there was a high probability that there will be an attempt to launch either a nuclear or biological attack here in the United States. Was that more a defense of his policies or some sort of information or intelligence that he had?

ALLEN: Well Kiran, what's interesting is it's a little of both. It drew on the amazing knowledge that he has from having worked in Congress, four administrations, eight years of the latest briefings, and his belief that the policies that the Bush administration put in place, some of which are being slowly undone by Obama, helped prevent an attack ... the Vice President, based on his intelligence, knows more than anyone except Bob Woodward I think, based on all the different jobs he's had, he says the threat of a 9/11-type attack is the same as it was before 9/11. Kiran, he says he sees a high probability that someone will try it.

2. Cheney should be closely surveilled.

His crowd has a lot to gain from another 9-11, and they do a lot of business with the people who are most likely to give us one.

4. Is Cheney planning this "attack" that he is so worried about?
That would explain why he needs a transition office for LEAVING the Executive branch. When has a Vice President, or even a President, ever needed a "transition office" when they leave office?

I hope there are some good guys in the CIA and FBI watching this maniac.

8. I clicked on that to see who "Allen" was
I thought he was some guy who worked for cheney or some relative of his. Nice to see that he is an "unbiased journalist".

But then once I saw that he was working for Republico.com I guess I shouldn't have been surprised.

WTF is that outfit anyway? Some wingnut think tank masquerading as a "new" source? I never heard of it until a few months ago and now it's everyfuckingwhere.

10. oh puke city!
there are actually journalists still promoting Cheney as being highly competent? Is Allen next going to tell us Rumsfeld is a sex symbol? Is he going to call the Taliban "freedom fighters?"

:puke:

11. Ah, that amazing knowledge
Curious, I'm sure, that Cheney would so confidently assert this. He's never seemed particularly interested in dissenting opinions or facts that disagree with his pre-programmed conclusions. So why is he saying this? He's no longer in the loop. His failed policies of fear have lost their power, except for certain extremely gullible media types. Is he inviting an attack? How irresponsible. Perhaps it's time (actually, it's past time) to open up the records of Mr. Cheney, beginning with the minutes of his energy task force meetings early in the first Bush the Stupider term.
