If we aren't going to prosecute Bush/Cheney, then forget about the peanut butter scandal

Eight dead and hundreds sickened because a profit-driven peanut butter manufacturer/supplier ignored the law, ignored basic decency, had virtually zero oversight or accountability and BANG!... we learn that their product was contaminated with dead rats, mice and cockroaches.

Outrage. Disbelief. Public outcry. A senator wants to "see someone go to jail." We are going to see that this never happens again, have no fear, because we are going to prosecute those responsible.

Ah,... but transport all those same behaviors and transgressions to the governmental administration of the Greatest Democracy In History,.. operating on the Greatest Document Ever Penned (the Constitution),... plenty of rats and cockroaches to go around, eh? Same shock, disbelief and public outcry. Okay, maybe a few hundred thousand more deaths in the fullsome spirit of profits.

So why aren't we going to make sure it never happens again?
