To give an idea of what kind of scumbag racist......
...this senile, doddering motherfucker was just read the first paragraph of the following.

The ‘W’ Word, Re-Engaged

By JASON DePARLE

Ronald Reagan brooked no doubt that food stamps equaled welfare. Running for president in 1976 he told what became a defining tale about the “strapping young buck” in the supermarket line who used stamps to buy T-bone steaks. His first White House budget made deep food stamp cuts.

3. How did Ronnie know they hadn't been eating ramen to save up?
Yeah, there are some people who are irresponsible and live beyond their means, but why do the rich feel like those of a "lower station" should never, ever indulge? It's not like he was puting it on a credit card. He somehow had saved up enough food stamps to get T-bones. Good for him!

They can't STAND IT when we attack them for being hypocritical and air their dirty laundry for everyone to see. I think they don't feel anyone has the right to do that to them, and we do it constantly.

I know I do! :-)

9. Reagan used the term "Welfare Queens" for the first time
Edited on Sun Feb-08-09 01:16 PM by lunatica
He inferred that they were black women who sat back and popped out babies while eating high on the hog and covering themselves in jewelry and driving Cadillacs because they would get welfare checks for each kid.

The MSM ran with it in a way that they would learn to really perfect with OJ, Michael Jackson, Britney, et al. Their cacophony was so loud that the few sane voices trying to prove that most women on welfare were actually white and single mothers was completely drowned out. The truth tellers were outshouted at every turn.

You have to have lived through the Reagan years to appreciate how truly mean he was because they did manage to convince people afterwards that he was really a god among men. He's also responsible for the AIDS epidemic going worldwide because he refused to address the issue (didn't even mention the word AIDS) for years while it took hold. And in those days everyone who go AIDS died.

15. Reagan kicked off his first campaign for president where civil rights workers were murdered
Philadelphia, Mississippi -- Cheney, Schwerner and Goodwin. If it sounds familiar, it's about three civil rights workers who were murdered by the Klan and buried in a mud dam. It was the basis of the film "Mississippi Burning."

When Saint Ronnie kicked off his run for the presidency in Philadelphia, Mississippi, it was a message about who he was, what he stood for, what he was against -- and that he was either an incredibly evil, or an incredibly stupid human being.

My guess is that it was his own stupidity combined with his handlers who knew exactly what they were doing. (After all, we're talking about a man who was clueless enough to visit a Nazi cemetery during his presidency.) The only thing more ignorant than this amiable imbecile are the millions of clueless Americans who voted for him. Twice.

25. Google -- philadelphia mississippi reagan
Edited on Mon Feb-09-09 07:52 AM by Cyrano
The very first entry is an article from Time magazine that states that Reagan gave his first campaign speech in Philadelphia Mississippi. (Also, check out some of the other entries.)

Philadelphia Mississippi is in Neshoba County where three civil rights workers, Cheney, Schwerner and Goodwin, were murdered by the Klan.

So I once again ask you, exactly where are the facts I stated wrong?

26. His first speech after winning the nomination was near there at a county fair.
He did not kick of his campaign there. That happened many months before he won the nomination.

27. Okay, now go back and read my post.
Edited on Mon Feb-09-09 08:09 AM by Cyrano
I stated that Philadelphia Mississippi was where he kicked off his campaign. Kicking off a campaign and giving a speech after winning the nomination are two different things.

On edit: I just read another google article that said it was where he kicked off his campaign after being nominated. My bad. However, it's a distinction without a difference.

The location where he gave the speech, Neshoba County Mississippi, was a message that he was going to carry on the racist "Southern Strategy" of the Republican Party.

So how about we both stop wasting keystrokes and end this ridiculous nitpicking conversation?

21. Republicans are despicable!
Reagan was the worst! Newt Gingrich makes me vomit. Richard Cheney makes my hair stand on end.

These people should have to go without, something, anything. How about food for a week. They have never wanted for anything. And they tell us how important it is to feed the military coffers. We should fucking cut military spending by 50% fucking today! Kill their fucking sacred cow. Spill its guts right out in their face.
