1. Whoa.
Did Obama or Pelosi or someone use that overly-florid language?

2. Of course! Isn't Everyone's?
. . . uh, whaddya mean, "No"? Why not? We're a Pro-Life country, afterall. All children become all that they have it in them to be, as long as they fit the Capitalist "Free" Market mold.

11. My children's college fund turned form a 529 to a 329
I was reading some quaint literature from our state financing college site. It talked about how much you could build up in savings at $175/mo for 18 years at 6% interest. Think about it 6% interest. We have college presidents here in my state talking about increasing the tuition 25%. The extra dollars will go to improve access by increasing financial awards to those who do not have the ability to pay. At $20,000/yr at full cost before the increase I am not sure who they think has the financial ability to pay.

I want a prepaid tuition plan in our state. If I had access to such a plan I would borrow my maximum out of my 401(k), borrow against the full equity in my house, raid our 529s, and probably badger the grandparents for a loan to scrape together whatever I could.

Even before the crash investments were not keeping up with tuition inflation. After the crash it is not even close.

I want my tax dollars that went to the state universities back, and then I would send my kids to Rose Hulman.

6. Given that a child born today inherits $40,000 in debt...
... it'd better be a hell of a lot of gold.

Sounds like some "New Age" psychobabble.

9. Nope, it's just crumbs, milk, and poopie beneath my twins.
I'll be sure to let everyone know when the golden prospects fall beneath them. I still think they're wonderful kids despite not having golden prospects beneath them.

17. Anybody who thinks that way needs an ego check.
They're living through their kid. It's unhealthy.
