Raising taxes on above $250k will spur investments. Rather than pay more taxes, higher incomes will invest more money than they do now. Raising taxes on above $250k will stimulate the economy for free. All tax hikes in history have been followed by economic growth. All tax cuts have been followed by economic decline. why is that the magic number? Why not $100K? $50K?

3. Because $250K is going to be the arbitrary point to define

a standard of living. If you make @250k or less, you will get a tax break. Then reduce taxes digressively to %50k, when taxes would be phased out altogether. Plus the President picked $250K. The purpose is to help the the middle and low income, and to help the upper class help the people that they have taken advantage of for over 30 years. And drop the term class from all descriptions. Make it upper income, middle income and low income.
