The Repubs can't wait to blame this economy and wars on Obama...
The average person will not recognize that the first "trillion dollar deficit" happened under the Administration of George W Bush because it will not be reported until the end of the first year of the Obama Administration.

Also, they cannot wait to hand off responsibility for both Iraq and Afghanistan to the new President. They control the message of the media. They have no doubt that they can get at least half of our population to believe it is all Obama's fault. They may be right?

4. I Had A 90 Minute Ride Back To Chicago From Indiana This Evening And For Kicks......
I turned on WLS 890 radio and listened to the Bill Cunningham show. I just couldn't believe my ears. First - there were so many racial remarks made by both the host Cunningham, his guests and his callers. Then he had a guest on that was criticizing George Stephanopoulos for his relationship with Rham Emmanual, Paul Begala and Carville - saying to the effect that he is involved with providing political strategy to the Obama Administration while he is reporting news at the same time. Then they launched into someone from GE - I think Inham or a name close to that - as being on Obama's Economic Advisory Committee and before you knew it he lumped in all of MSM as being in the tank with Obama and the liberals. He went down the line damming Pelosi, Reid, Barney Frank, Kennedy, Obey, Waxman, Kerry. He launched into a piece on welfare which he insinuated that this economic stimulus is just an excuse to give lazy poor people (code for blacks) more taxpayers money so they didn't have to work. He then went on to praise the Bush Administration for their handling of the welfare situation and said it's only going to get worse under Obama. He kept on saying Barack Hussein Obama and stressing or putting the emphasis on the Hussein. He talked about more government control leading to Socialism under Obama. He went on and on blaming Obama for everything. It was just too unbelievable. He called the likes of Hannity, Rush, Coulter, Beck, Ingrahm the true patriots and indicated that the fairness doctrine that is being touted is to wipe them off the air. He called for a summit of all of these Right Wing/Conservative talk show hosts to come together to strategize how they can take down Obama. I just couldn't believe my ears.

This was after coming off of an evening meeting with some Repug friends that are racially biased that are concerned about their kids and kids kids having to pay for this stimulus package. One said it was all the fault of Labor Unions. They were the cause of this economic downturn. They caused management to send jobs overseas. The only jobs that this bill will create are 'government jobs' and people that work government jobs are lazy and not motivated to do good. They gravitate down to the lowest common denominator worker.

I tell you - my head is still spinning. I was doing everything I could to defend Obama - but they wouldn't hear it.

Everything is Obama's fault. I tell you - I just don't get it. What am I missing? I want in the worse way to get into the head of the Repug to understand why they think like they do. I don't know if it's because they can't think for themselves and are easily influenced or if they are just so racially biased or if they are just plain braindead. I just can't figure it out.

I kept on coming back to the point that jobs are what people need. If they have a job and feel secure in it. If they are paid a decent wage for a decent days work. They will feel good about themselves and their situation. They will start eating out at restaurants. They will start buying products. They will spend monies that will generate tax dollars and will in turn create more jobs based on the demand for the products that they would be buying. They wouldn't be a burden to the 'unemployment rolls' and we wouldn't have to pay them the unemployment monies. Looking at a situation like that - it is the engine that will boost this country back out of this recession. Everybody would win all around.

I just didn't seem like I was getting through to them. I'm frustrated. I'm tired. And I'm going to bed.
