<snip>The House of Representatives' version of the bill includes about $101 million for school construction in West Virginia.

Robert Rupp, a political science professor at West Virginia Wesleyan College, said he was surprised that school construction dollars were stripped from the Senate bill Friday.

"If we're going to do this for roads, why shouldn't we do that for schools?" he said Sunday.

In terms of economic stimulus, school construction creates infrastructure and will quickly lead to job growth, said Rupp, a former Upshur County school board member.

The Dems should be out on every channel talking about this constantly.

1. I guess the idea of vouchers in Iraq even struck Republicans as silly.

2. Republicons are into Nation Building - sending our tax money elsewhere
while letting America crumble.

Republicons = hypocrisy...

3. Good point...
I remember hearing a comedian say a few years ago that Bush and the repukes were all for: free elections, national healthcare, building schools and re-building infrastructure... as long as that was in Iraq.

Do you also remember when all those idiots had their thumbs stained purple as a show of "solidarity" for the Iraqis who voted? Pure political grandstanding (without any substance)

Those mother fuckers, ever last damn one of them, are responsible for the sorry state of our country today.
