A conversation with Al Franken on life in Minnesota's political limbo

"Saturday, on an almost-spring-like afternoon, MinnPost chatted with Franken in his downtown Minneapolis townhouse. We talked about his winter in limbo, his January and February of antsiness, his disappointment in the "atmospherics" of politics despite the Obama election and the increased thickness of his skin."

6. nothing wrong with a healthy ego
Can't argue that he has no real substance. Can't ignore the concrete and grounded policy views and prescriptions he's offered throughout the campaign. And, Minnesotans certainly liked him enough to elect him.

8. I didn't mean to sound negative
I actually love Al Franken. I think he will be a wonderful Senator. I was just trying to be funny and I often fail at that..

. . . sorry that I didn't catch your humor.

I think it's the smiley's fault. He looks concerned.

2. So when the hell do we find out?
How long can Coleman keep that court case going? I have to plead ignorance on the judicial process in this case. Can someone please give me a clue?

5. Can you imagine the heat the MSM would be applying if the situation were reversed?
CNN, FOX, ABC, etc. would be camped out at Franken's door asking him when he planned to acknowledge reality and concede

7. Imagine the reverse if the Republicans needed one extra vote on
legislation dealing with a crisis and a Dem was doing what Coleman is doing
