Jobs, JFK and unbalanced budgets, and grandkids
Republican Senators today on C-Span complained that all this SPENDING will have to be paid by their kids and grandkids...

They are right I guess... Democrats and decent people do indeed pay back their debts. Was it not The Dick Chaney you quoted The Ronald Reagun that 'deficits don't matter'?

"And Dick Cheney says to O'Neill, "Reagan proved that deficits don't matter. We won the midterm elections. Our due is another big tax cut."

So, Republican Senators, you can complain about the $850 billion Recovery and Jobs bill being paid back by their kids and grandkids, but remember the current $10 trillion National
Debt (of which $8 of the 10 Trillion is courtesy of REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTS) will FIRST have to be paid back.

And lets think about this for a moment... How can the US Government pay back the Debt...Hmmm... I think that is thru Americans PAYING TAXES. Hmmmm... And how
are Americans able to pay taxes??? THAT"S CORRECT - WITH JOBS.

Funny - this is what this bill is all about - to create jobs.

Finally, here is a quote by JFK debating Nixon on balancing the budget:

......................
Senator John F. Kennedy and Vice President Richard M. Nixon First Joint Radio-Television Broadcast

Monday, September 26, 1960
Originating CBS, Chicago, Ill., All Networks carried.
Moderator, Howard K. Smith.

"I believe in the balanced budget, and the only conditions under which I would unbalance the budget would be if there was a grave national emergency or a serious recession"
