Anybody Here Hear Of Jimmy Santiago Baca?
Well, I recently became acquainted with his work, and had a chance to hear him speak. All I can say is WOW! What this man has overcome, and his activism, etc/, etc/, etc. His memoir "A Place To Sand" is a must read!

2. He wrote the screenplay for "Blood in Blood Out".
He was in the movie too.

3. He Mentioned When I Saw Him Saturday
that he read a poem for President Obama at a dinner the day of his inauguration. Cool:)

4. It's always cool seeing such interesting people like Baca
Years ago, I saw Cesar Chavez speak at my school and it was so incredibly awesome to be in the presence of such a humanitarian.
