1. I would love for that to happen. I'm sick of hearing that the vote won't "pass"
without Rethug support. It would pass, it just wouldn't have the super-majority necessary to avoid a possible filibuster. I think it's way overdue to call their bluff.

2. The first time I heard someone filibuster was during the Eisenhower
years and they read anything they could get their hands on and continued to pass it back and forth among readers. I seem to remember that it lasted for almost a week. Today a week of that in the news and everyone would be up in arms.

3. But it would be a thing of beauty, showing the people what these assholes are
obstructionists. Once going there was balanced with the cost

Today... I object Mr. President and will fillibuster...

We don't have them votes...

GRRRRR

4. I agree that it would be a real lesson to the people who support these
jerks. I do think we should let them do their best on some future bill. This one is too important to take that long. No one was happy with the filibuster way back then and I think they lost more than they won.

5. These days most people don't even know what a filibuster is supposed to look like
and that is part of the problem
