Disabled American Veterans support media access to returning caskets of U.S. troops

President Obama told the nation tonight that the Bush-era practice of banning reporters from covering the returning caskets of U.S. troops at Dover Air Base in Delaware is "under review" in conjunction with the Pentagon. In a speakers' guide for Memorial Day 2008, the Disabled American Veterans called for honoring the fallen troops with public grieving, not treating them as "a source of public shame."
