Church shooter manifesto released: "kill them in the streets, kill them where they gather.”
Edited on Tue Feb-10-09 09:17 AM by guruoo
http://web.knoxnews.com/pdf/021009church-manifesto.pdf

“This was a hate crime,” he wrote. “Liberals are a pest like termites, millions of them …
the only way we can rid ourselves of this evil is kill them in the streets, kill them where they gather.”

“I’d like to encourage other like-minded people to do what I’ve done,” Adkisson wrote.
“If life ain’t worth living anymore, don’t just kill yourself. Do something for your country before you go.
Go kill liberals.”

11. Yes, that's how terrorists want you to feel.
The way to properly dissuade this is to be cautious but unafraid.

5. Am I supposed to feel pity for this ex-soldier, this
"accomplished guitarist" and out of work mechanic? Because I don't. One of the comments notes that any "good" republican would tell him he should have planned for the future and his fuckup is his fault. I agree.

17. So why doesn't the alleged 'Liberal Media' parrot that all over the airwaves?
If it were a 'leftist' shooting people at a Mega-Church, we would be barraged with non-stop coverage on all channels, telling us how liberals were inciting people to go out and kill people.

I would even be willing to bet this Right Wing Nut has a lot of history on the freeper website as well, and spent hours out of the day devoted to Rush Limbaugh.

32. The media will be silent - it will be considered "a church shooting" and left to rot
I read the manifesto this morning and its very disturbing. His incoherent rant could have been mistaken for Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity verbatim.

Then you realize that 20+ million listen to these idiots are brainwashed in its subtle violent and hate filled undertones. That's when it gets scary.

But the media will nod its head and move right along instead of giving this the coverage that it deserves. I remember during the election, everyone being so concerned with Obama's safety. I offer that the ones that need to be concerned with safety are us - the common citizen and liberals. Anyone who wears the Democrat label openly should be concerned as the right wing has had years to stir up this drum-beat of hate and war.

It's not a hate crime. Not in the least.

It's using physical harm to push a political agenda - the VERY definition of terrorism. I would like to see charges as such filed.

23. This is so sad...
“Over the years, I’ve had some good jobs, but I always got layed (sic) off,” he wrote. “Now I’m 58 years old and I can’t get a decent job. I’m told I’m ‘over qualified,’ which is a code word for ‘too damned old,’ like I’m expected to age gracefully in poverty. No thanks! I’m done.”

How does this delusion work? I see it all the time and wonder how to open their eyes to reality.

Has Rush ever condemned these attacks? If not, it's the same as condoning them, especially since the guy had a hoard of right-wing rant books in his car. How about Palin? And McCain?

29. Another great argument against the death penalty.
That this stupid (I won't call him "sick" because he was fully aware of what he was doing) right wing asshole will have to live with everyone knowing he was a coward who fired on unarmed civilians, and was taken down by them, and not by cops, is a far nastier, crueler punishment than a needle in the arm.

31. Jesus, this shit reads like a transcript of the Limbaugh/ Hannity/ Coulter/Malkin bile
Seriously, this is troubling. VERY troubling.

Supposedly, Limbaugh has 20 million listeners. Granted, 99% of them would wet the bed before they stood up to someone face to face, but that 1% of them left over is spread out amongst us.

Everything he ranted about was the fault of the conservative movement. They deflect and blame while they enrich themselves and recruit sheep like this guy that obviously doesn't know better. This is a politically motivated crime and should meet the standard of being labeled terrorism. You can bet your ass that Limbaugh and his ilk would be screaming from the rafters about "terrorism" had this been a leftist extremist that carried out a crime upon a group of conservative church goers.

33. This comes on the heels of another article, that bullets are in shortage.
Selling bullets may be the most secure job in Florida as long as supplies last.

After months of heavy buying, gun dealers across the state are experiencing shortages.

Some say it began with the election of President Barack Obama. Others say it's about the economic downturn or fear of crime. Whatever the reasons, ammunition has been selling like plywood and bottled water in the days before a hurricane.

"The survivalist in all of us comes out," said John Ritz, manager of East Orange Shooting Sports in Winter Park. "It's more about protecting what you have."
