Questioning Republican opposition. They say it will stifle investment.

1. We don't need investment right now, we have overcapacity.
Have you seen those pictures of cars sitting in huge lots unsold? That's just one illustration of the lack of demand that is plaguing the economy. Investment to make more stuff nobody will buy is foolish.

3. Just figured this out.
The USA has lost the goods battle. The USA will never be able to compete with China and India. The USA has got to figure out another way to make money on the world market. The USA owes too much money to get out of the world market. China builds whole cities dedicated to industry. Economy of mass, like mass transportation.

4. there's already so much tax free/tax deferred investing
Most people that I know with investments (including myself) have them in either tax free (ie Roth IRA), or tax-deferred accounts (401K, 403B, etc).
