Are you at risk of losing your job today? Are you at risk of losing your job tomorrow? How about your health insurance? How about having your pay cut? So, you are pretty much set at least until the next election. So, you have no personal investment in getting this economy back on track, then? Sure, your constituents... I understand what you are saying, but you are not up for re-election for a few years, and short memories and all... you really have no personal reason to actually help your constituents, right?
See, it seems to me, that the economy is right where you want it. Because you are the minions of big business, and abhor labor unions. So, when people are desperate to feed their families, then your corporate buddies will be able to make them work for less and no benefits and such. So, maybe, just maybe, you would be happy to see a depression. because, since you are still getting your paycheck, it's not like you are going to be living in hoovervilles or in your car or anything. I mean, do you believe michael steele's meme about make work instead of jobs? Oh, I know. it's a lot of money. Why weren't you so concerned for the past eight years while the deficit was ballooning. It's not like bush didn't come into office with a surplus or anything. Oh, big government is bad, i hear ya. The government has gotten bigger under republican control than it was under democratic control. I hear ya. I know. blah blah blah. whine. i get it.
well, i hope that you can live with yourself. I know it will be tough in that fancy house with the fancy car. It's rough living having to make the tough decisions. I mean, better to do nothing to help your constituents than to do something. Oh, yes. I know you had better ideas. Tax cuts. that will fix everything. Umm... lots of tax cuts in the past eight years.... BEFORE this crisis. so i don't really think more of them is going to help anything. Oh, i know.... give the tax cuts to the RICH. then that will fix everything. Yes. lets put even more of the burden on the poor and middle class.... the ones who already carry enough of this economy.
