Peanut Corp. of America ran unlicensed, uninspected plant in Texas for over 3 years!

An Associated Press investigation last week revealed that the Plainview plant, which opened in March 2005, operated uninspected and unlicensed by state health officials until after the company came under investigation last month by the Food and Drug Administration. Once inspectors learned about the Texas plant, they found no sign of salmonella there.

Texas sure is on top of things, isn't it? Comforting that a facility could produce food for human consumption with NO INSPECTIONS and not even have a permit to operate!

No doubt still suffering the after effects of the Bush Governorship and the Republican control of the state. Nice job, GOP. :eyes:
