The hypocrisy of McCain's words on who is creating debt!
I'm getting so sick of this rethug mantra and I really wish we had more spines in the corporate MSM to call them on this bullshit.

McCain says regarding the stimulus plan:

Republican John McCain calls the bailout "generational theft," a transfer of wealth from future generations to today's leaders.

"We are robbing future generations of Americans of their hard-earned dollars because we are laying on them a debt of incredible proportions," he said

http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/02/10/stimulus.package.debate/index.html

I'm all for open debate on various line items in the stimulus package, but to John McCain I ask:

What about the 10 fucking billion dollars a month that has gone to a needless war based on lies which you supported? Where is the burden of that debt being placed? Won't the next generation also be left paying for your Iraq occupation (er war)?

Quit trying to act as if the Democrats created this mess which Shrub left piled up for Obama to clean up. We are in this position because your party got us here and now you want to lay blame for future generations debt on everyone other than the republicans!

Yea, my kids will being paying off debt alright, and their kids too. Thanks to the idiot in chief who you supported!

1. This is such utter disrespect for the voters...
Attempting to re-write history and to disregard what has happened in the last eight years, in hopes that the voters will forget, or hoping they never knew to begin with. But deceptive nonetheless.

9. Well, in both cases, it's Congress controlling the purse strings.
McCain's not completely out of line bringing this up, but he is an epic hypocrite and a lying, partisan whore.

5. Transferring wealth is only good if they do it and if the people benefitting are the wealthy! nt

7. Transfer of wealth can only go in one direction--upward. If it goes the other way, even
for badly-needed expenditures and life-or-death services or programs, it's "socialism" and pork.

8. Remember, McCain admitted during his campaign he didn't
know much about economics, so don't pay any attention to him. He threw his "honor" under the bus back then, too, so you don't have to respect him, either.
