Pity them. That's all they have. They are a defeated party with a defeated ideology.

Remember the bully in junior high who picked on the wrong "wuss" and got the crap beat out of him? Remember his look of both surprise and shock? Remember how the crowd who watched the pommeling turned and walked silently away while the bully tried to explain away his defeat? Remember how embarrassing it was? Remember how he was no longer feared? And remember how he faded away when you all went on to high school?

It's the same way with the Repubs. All they can do is get your goat by using "Democrat" instead of the correct form, "Democratic." That's all they have...

Pity them...

3. Well given that
that you've managed to change other english words into different usages and sometimes spellings too, with the usual excuse that once its gone into common usage what's the problem all I can really say is what's the problem ? There are probably enough Republicans to warrant common usage. I appreciate that doesn't make it right but its a simple fact of life.

The number of you who even manage to switch then and than never ceases to amaze me - writing phonetically is never really a good idea.

Call it the same way every time. You say Democrat I say Repub. Works for me.

If they want to advertise that about themselves, so be it.
