One can pick on Susan Collins for many things, but her voice should not be one of those things.

I'd be interested in that. Neither her Senate site nor her Wikipeida entry mention that, as far as I could see.

7. I do not have access to her personal medical records,

but, she most definitly has Parkinson's. If you will remember that voice and the characteristics of it, you will always know Parkinson's when you hear it. Anyone who has ever worked with Parkinson's patients can diagnose on that speech pattern alone. Although I am retired, I do qualify as a reputable diagnostic source. You do not have to believe me, of course...but she does have Parkinson's.

...and she'd still be one of the dimmest bulbs in the Senate. An old student of mine works in her constituency-services operation, and says she routinely makes 10-dumbest lists. She is a complete creature of her staff, many of who have ties to the Rove apparatus.

It is widely bandied about that she thinks -- because her staff has told her -- that she alone can save the GOP, and on the back of that accomplishment become the first woman president. "Moderate", when her party isn't. Northern, when her party is Southern, female in a party of pasty white dudes. She is The Answer. And all this 'moderate' shadow boxing is the set-up.
