from the fundie nut online journal, AKA the American Family Assn's OneNewsNow:

Tax dollars for homosexual adoption - gov't 'at its worst'
Charlie Butts - OneNewsNow - 2/10/2009 6:40:00 AM

Conservative Californians are raising their eyebrows over the state's latest campaign to provide adoptive parents for children.

The state and Los Angeles County governments have combined financial resources for a billboard campaign to convince homosexuals, bisexuals, and transsexuals to adopt children. In a press release for Campaign for Children and Families, Randy Thomasson notes that homosexual adoptions became legal in California in 1999, and the policy continued with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2003.

"We didn't know that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, a liberal Republican, would get in on this. We didn't know that the Democrat-controlled county of Los Angeles would get in on this, but the fruit of it is homosexuality, bisexuality, transsexuality will engage in these," he points out. "That's the message, and it's a bad one."

Thomasson contends God created fathers and mothers to give children "the best chance at life," calling it selfish to place children in a "sexually-confused and sexually-charged" atmosphere.

He says spending the ad campaign dollars comes at a time when the state is in a budget crunch and cannot even send out taxpayer rebate checks. "How come the state and the counties have time and money to spend for the promotion of homosexual, bisexual adoption of children?" Thomasson asks. "This is government at its worst."

1. recommended for a must read.
The activities of these hate groups always seems to operate without detection in the MSM. I didn't realize how entrenched they were in California until Prop H8 passed.

3. those "fundies" are today's
Pharisees.

Money is their true god. money.. money.. money... and power. They try to hide this behind the concept of "righteousness" but the very God they claim to follow wouldn't be fooled for one minute.

(i don't mean this as a blanket condemnation of an entire group of people, rather, the individuals who support the mindset and bigotry of those who agree with Thomasson. And turning his own words back on him I say: "this is religion at its worst".)
