...I would suggest http://4-ch.net/politics . Some distinctives:

1. Only three site-wide rules & only three more rules specific to the poltical board, as opposed to the several pages of rules on DU.
2. Anonymous posting is enabled and encouraged. With no reputation to respect or defend, a person's ideas stand or fall on their own.
3. Of course, people of all political persuasions can post. If someone posts something you disagree with, your time is better invested taking the responsibility of arguing against it rather than trying to get them in trouble for breaking the rules and building factions against them (especially since you most likely do not know who they are).

I'm not saying one paradigm is always better than the other (don't get butthurt); it's just another choice that has its own advantages. Go there if this appeals to you, do not go there if it does not. And stay here if you want. Whatever. But there it is.

People link to other message boards all the time - DailyKos and all that. If anything I was posting about how Channel 4 is not like DU and serves different purposes. If people want partisan discussion unoccluded by bipartisan debate they can come here. Anyone who knows me knows that I lean on the rules all the time in saying that Naderites do not belong on DU. They are two different creatures. Whatever.
