OK. Someone explain it to me: Stimulus

I get the money going to infrastructure, and programs. I don't understand the tax rebate. How is it working? Are we getting checks, or more money in our paychecks, or is it only money for unemployment?

I'm sorry, but when it comes to tax stuff it usually leaves me :crazy:

I don't know how many checks you get a year but divide that number by four hundred dollars Or eight hundred if married and you will know how much extra per check you will receive..Obama wanted five hundred per person but had to settle for less to get Republican support.

They are so small that they are ineffective. $20 bucks a week at least is reoccuring, the single check the bushtapo issued was a real waste of money and time.

I doubt enough tax could be cut to do any good as there comes a point where nothing will work anymore. No school bussing, no snow plowing, no mail delivery, no police, no fire and so on.

there's an extra 25 per week, with the average UC being 300 a week that would be 325 a week. I don't know what the plans are for the unemployed and not getting an unemployment check.

10. Depends on why you aren't getting a paycheck.

If one is collecting unemployment, they will get an increase.
If one is self employed, the tax table will be reduced for them as well, and they can reduce they estimated quarterly payments.
If one is a senior, then there is a break in reference to 401Ks. You do not have to withdraw your 401K, and if you do, you will only be taxed on the forced amount....I believe.
If you don't pay income tax, although you work, your EIC payment (if you have opt to get this payment including into your check will increase).
If you don't work and have never have worked, then yeah.....you don't get a tax break, unless you are married, and your spouse works.

Because what comes out of your check is matched by your employer. You paying less means they pay less. Paying less taxes helps employers either save money or hire another person. So there is a possible gain of jobs in a payroll tax cut.
