I would have suggested the phones be shutdown for a time as well. Or to put it into other words, or at least here in California, and if you drive a car: when you see an EMT vehicle careening in your rear-view mirror with lights & siren blaring...you pull over to the side of the road and stop

Yes it is a tolerant multi cultural society. Yes it is a beautiful breezy free wheeling world class city with wonderful people, restaurants & watering holes unless you maybe have to drive through it and get somewhere on time...but there is a solid, very conservative undercurrent that many seldom interface with. It is from that pool of applicants her staff was likely drawn from, if indeed they weren't pulled from elsewhere

But, you know, you could always call her office and ask ;)

13. Sure they did, they all did, not just DiFi, the entire nation did and as for 'that thread'...

That just represents the outrage du jour believe me or don't but there are only two cheeks to turn four if you include the human buttocks but after that there's no more cheeks *to* turn. Or maybe look at it like customer service, after a while the phone bank shuts down due to high volume, people get testy and become less likely to even pick the thing up. I've known people that worked the capital here and senate banks in DC; and I believe them when they relate that after hours of people screaming into their ears about various issues they became numb...it's daunting. The impression I'm being left with is that even where the system were setup as a recorded 'Please push 1, 2, 3, 4' system that even that would be unacceptable cause this isn't about her phones or any people whose charge it is to answer them...
