SO FUCKIN' TIRED OF DEMS ATTACKING DEMS I COULD PUKE.

:kick:WARNING RANT AHEAD!!!

We NEED to ARGUE the POINT **** NOT ***** POINT our arguments at one another.

IF WE CAN NOT MANAGE PEACE AMONG OUR OWN PARTY, HOW HE HELL CAN WE BRING PEACE TO THE REST OF OUR COUNTRY, LET ALONE HEAL THE DAMAGE DONE BY THE ADMINISTRATION TO THE WHOLE FUCKING WORLD???!!!

Clinton & Obama wars.

Dennis Kucinich trying to make this all about him.

Even Cindy Sheehan bouncing on the DEMS. Its fine to have an opinion, and at least she is acting less partisan and more about her belief in the cause itself, but why can't she just disagree, make her stand and not have to go to the trash can?

John Edwards and his wife are standing toe to toe with death and still they march on without having to blast anyone, just speaking the truth.

MAYBE if some FUCKING Candidate had the balls of Elizabeth Edwards, John could stay home and take care of her instead of having to stand up as the only candidate with a platform that isn't based on trashing anyone else, just taking care of the job the President needs to do, serving the people and making America a place we can be proud of again.

REPUBLIFUCKINCANS turn on each other like rabid street dogs, are we doing any better?

I'm sorry, I just want some common sense and decency to mark these discussions. We ALL have our opinions and I just wish we could be more tolerant. Myself included.

RANT OVER :banghead:

1. So why are YOU downing the dems?
We're doing great thanks to Pelosi. Hang in there.

We're democrats, we don't belong to an organized party.

3. I'm not DOWNING anyone. I'm expressing frustration at the tone of the discussion.
I am "hoping" that they are setting this bill out for veto so they can stick it to *ush for showing his "non-support" of the troops and that they are keeping things obscurred enough for the investigations to uncover the facts needed to boot these bozos out.

I'm not asking that we do anything radical like become organized, just comport ourselves with some semblence of civility.

4. Not ASKING anyone to go the same direction. Just don't rip others up for following their own path.
Cindy has a valid point and a valid place.

So does Dennis, but I would respect him more if he didn't try to divide the party with his bill. I would have loved if he'd found a way to bring people together on it. I'd prefer a progressive bill.

I do think Nancy is doing her best with this runaway train that is the Congress right now, but can you IMAGINE if we could find a way not to rip each other to shreds as we move along, how much more momentum we could build.

6. Yet people here line up on sides and rip away.
Like I said, it's the tone and I just had to get the rant off my chest.

8. Rant on! We gotta accept that no party, and certainly no...
Congress is going to get it right all the time, or work with any sort of speed. And we gotta accept that there are honest views contrary to ours-- compromise is fundamental to democracy, no matter how hard it may be to take. In politics, throwing out the OK and workable to wait for the perfect is s risky gamble.

I'm impressed how such a fairly small change on the HIll has been able to accomplish so much in so little time. Besides Iraq, they are going full tilt with everything from hearings on Gonzo to working on everything else the White House and a rubber stamp majority has screwed up in the last six years.

No, we're not out of Iraq, looming environmental and economic crises haven't been solved, everyone doesn't have health care and a guaranteed pension, we haven't created enough good jobs, and the national debt isn't paid. Oh, the horror that all this hasn't been solved in three months!

But, we're on the right track, and between Pelosi and Reid we won't have paradise any time soon, but we'll have the best we can expect.

10. Always remember. . There are professional disruptors inhabiting
every large message board. People are being paid to encourage fissures.

11. Fissures on a board don't seem like a big problem
The OP seemed more concerned about fissures IRL, in the media, among actual candidates. Hopefully, we get through the convention with no permanent damage done, with all supporting the nominated ticket. Getting to that point is not pretty, like making sausage.

How much of the dissin' is real, and how much manufactured by the press or by Rove & crew, that's good fodder for discussion.

"professional disruptor", eh? What's that job pay? I could go over to Free Republic and lob a few stinky posts, if the price is right (I work for baked goods).

13. Thank you!
As another example, just a few minutes ago I read another thread about how impeachment has to happen right this minute no matter what the consequences, and there were people calling anyone who disagreed DINOs! this is completely intolerable. Just because we disagree about HOW we go about impeachment doesn't mean we are actively trying to keep Repigs in power! It's absolutely absurd, and it's making this board far too hostile. WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME SIDE!

14. I could puke
Think its bad now, wait till we get closer to the primaries. Politics is a blood sport, your success depends on the failure of the other candidates. The rules apply to Democrats as well as republicans.

15. You've got to be kidding. GOPs stick with each other no matter what. They
defended Mark Foley and Hastert with more commitment than Democrats gave to Kerry when he was the nominee.

16. Will Rogers - "I'm not a member of any organized political party - I'm a Democrat"
He said it a good 70-75 years ago. It was true then, and it's still true today.

18. Since when is politics "nice" or "dignified"?
“Now, the man on the stand he wants my vote,
He's a-runnin' for office on the ballot note.
He's out there preachin' in front of the steeple,
Tellin' me he loves all kinds-a people.
(He's eatin' bagels
He's eatin' pizza
He's eatin' chitlins
He's eatin' bullshit!)”
