The fact that they have to be watched over and are only now finally "getting it" amazes me. I understand what she means when she says that they're used to having influence and not accustomed to being on the hot seat. But I suppose they figured McCain would win the election and it's life as usual for them with taxpayers continuing to bring them "tractor trailers of cash" (as Steven Perlstein of the Wash Post talked about yesterday).

It was embarrassing.

We need to change how these "expert" committees are assembled.

She is one of my favorite politicians in the world, but she knows nothing about banks, banking, the economy, TARP or anything directly pertinent to what needed to be discussed today.
