When Nancy Slapped Harry?
from Truthdig:

Dems Bicker Behind the Scenes
Posted on Feb 11, 2009

It seems Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s stimulus compromise announcement was a tad premature, a fact that reportedly irked the most powerful woman in politics, Nancy Pelosi. “The speaker went through the roof,” a House Democrat told Politico, when she saw Reid’s alleged power play.

The disagreement seems to revolve around school construction. Reid’s announcement may have been an attempt to force Pelosi’s hand.

Politico via Political Wire:

According to a half dozen Congressional aides and members, Reid went before the cameras Wednesday to announce a stimulus deal before Pelosi had agreed on all the details of school construction financing.

“It’s ruffled feathers, big time,” said a House Democrat speaking on condition of anonymity. “The speaker went through the roof.”

Added one House Democratic aide: “He tried to roll her and she knew it.”

1. Both of these people are going to get "rolled" by US if they don't
start doing the peoples' business instead of their own stupid political business.

6. ... as well they should!
I can't even put into words how disappointed I've been with their 'stewardship' of the Houses they're supposed to "control".

:puke: :puke: :puke:

4. Harry Reid is by far the worst of the two
but Nancy Pelosi has almost as many issues.

Neither of them seem to understand that they work for US, and that they have obligations to us. Both of them will defer to the American people when it is politically convenient for them to do so, but when it's not, we're ignored.

This is old politics, and not in keeping with Barack Obama's "change" promise.
