I understand its a serious situation, but this is all just so ridiculous, the coverage of every single child going well overboard. CNN headline news has become the missing little girl channel, and every network sends crews to the site of the missing child, which helps nothing. And I say girl, because apparently there is a missing boy in Arkansas who nobody really cares about.

They simply take the most disgusting things in the personal behavior of miscreants and use it to fuel the next "news cycle".

Problem for them is that many, many people are starting to wake up and smell the stench coming from the economy and the reality that we have been collectively bamboozled and hoodwinked since Reagan and now the trash outside and in our real lives smells WORSE than the depravity on our TVs and PCs and Macs and I-Phones.

The media masters are already ahead of us though...once this situation gets worse (and it WILL get worse before it can ever get better because there remains too much make-believe in how we are dealing with it) they will simply turn the page and start painting protesters and angry citizens as "insurgents" and "terrorists" (or maybe even "Communists" for old times sake). It used to be that those "others" were safely on the screen only...what are you going to believe and who are you going to support once you see that the TV is not showing a riot in Africa with starving villagers and tribesmen but it is showing the town you live in and your neighbor's fighting against the US military troops from NorthCom?

I used to believe that was pure bullshit...paranoid delusion-type stuff for sci-fi shows of questionable quality. Not any more. There already IS a NorthCom and it has ACTIVE DUTY TROOPS inside the Continental United States for just such a purpose. We are either going to collectively wake-up and productively address these issues or we are going to be led like lambs to the slaughter and our own military will be used against us to "protect the homeland against domestic terrorism"...

I am rapidly losing faith in our collective citizenry to do anything but follow orders from the box....
