"I love you Barack" - Anybody else see this creepy woman on the Daily Show???
When he was showing the footage from Florida on Thursday night, Barack walks over and kisses the black lady on the cheek.

Look at that white lady to their left, she mouths the words very clearly "I Love You Barack". Not in the way some of his followers would, but look at her eyes. Scary!

The Political Implications Of The Stimulus
....
At the same time, Obama has changed the national conservation about taxes, away from the usual conservative mantra of broad income tax cuts, which disproportionately helped the wealthiest Americans, and toward cuts narrowly tailored toward the middle class. Not only is this arguably better from a policy perspective, but it could lead to a more progressive and egalitarian approach to reducing taxes.

While conservatives are putting on a brave face, steadfast in their opposition, they seem oblivious to the fact that the debate in Washington is no longer between big government and smaller government; it's between big government and bigger government. By supporting a slightly smaller stimulus package - and empowering centrist Republicans by giving them the credit for shrinking its size -- Obama looks conciliatory, while actually getting about 80-90% of what he wanted in new spending and tax reductions. Republicans, by holding out for only tax cuts and failing to offer any compromise that included government spending have painted themselves as political losers - a situation that could get worse for them.

5. That was my
sister.

Kidding.... but she did not creep me out at all. I understood. But not in a creepy understanding sort of way. She just looked like she was happy that she didn't have a fucking moran, swaggering, fake-cowboy, dickmonkey, neanderthal embarrassing the shit out of her.... again.

6. Nothing creepy about it. It's a good thing, in fact. Teens cheer for him, ladies swoon,
men, too!

Even JFK didn't have this quality, and you know what?

It's a good thing for our country!

That older white woman? She's gonna vote, she's gonna be involved.

We need that, I love that!

11. I didn't find it creepy. I would have had it been shrub or cheney..
who could love those fucks? President Obama brings out the best in people. People are proud of their president again.

My 15 yr old who cares about nothing but football, basketball and texting his girlfriend walked in tonight with 2 Obama posters. He hung them himself and then called me down to see them. The world is wide awake right now and listening!

12. Creepy?
I saw a woman overcome by what was happening before her eyes. A president showing compassion to a homeless woman. It was a very rare and heartfelt moment. Must you poo poo it?

14. Nothing 'creepy' at all about that. I found it quite heart-warming.
There were some very genuine human emotions there.

15. It was a little strange on camera

On the other hand when I saw myself in the background of a Michelle rally and how weird I looked on camera that really creeped me out!!

I think she was genuinely overcome by the warmth of the President who embraced the sweet woman who was down on her luck.

Has any President ever met a homeless person face to face?

16. Not creepy imo. I think she was overwhelmed with hearing the
homeless woman's story and seeing our President actually walk to the woman to comfort her. I was overwhelmed and I wasn't even there.

18. Why does this scare you?
I saw it when it happened and it didn't scare me at all. I thought it was appropriate for the moment. It's such a change to have a President that leads with his "better angels" and inspires others to do the same and I saw her statement as affirmation of what she had just seen take place in front of her.

I probably would have said the same thing.

23. No, I don't think so
I am starved for leaders that I can support, if anything.

I love what he represents ... hope and intelligence and true compassion for his country's people.

I am still in the honeymoon phase, no doubt about it, but a friend asked what I would do if Obama did something that I disagreed with and I said I would be screaming at the tv at him just as I did blivet**.

I don't see him as a deity at all, I just see him as someone that can put himself in someone elses shoes and have empathy for them. Not sympathy - empathy.

Call me crazy if you want, but I NEED this honeymoon period and no one is going to take it away from me.

20. There is definitely some very scary personality cultish shit going on with him.
It's not healthy for a nation to be fawning over a leader like this, powerful people must always be scruitinized, lest we forget the 90% approval ratings of der bushenfuhrer.
