Poll question: What would be the best way to deal with sins of Bush administration? |
|
Conyers says there should be congressional investigations and criminal prosecutions.
Leahy wants a truth and reconciliation commission, which will give them immunity in exchange for an honest accounting of their sins.
The DLCers think it is impolitic and there is no other consideration.
Republicans obviously think there is nothing to investigate.
Which is the correct course?

2. Not much range of choice there. |
|
What about arrest and immediate exile or transfer to hostile location ? (Ya know someplace like the South Pole or even something exotic like Mars)

11. Well, Chimpy did believe that a manned expedition should go to Mars eventually. |
|
And NASA used to send Chimps up in space before they did human astronauts. So it would seem fitting that Chimpy is on the first non-robot mission to Mars.
As long as it's a one way trip.

investigation would move focus from "Obama's stimulus will make a recovery less likely" Republican talking heads. Because, really, that is all the media seems to be interested in. I never knew Republican opinion was soooo fascinating.

7. I think any investigation could show videos of Bush & Cheney personally raping children & eating |
|
their brains, and the MSM would still cover the GOP griping about whatever their talking point of the day is--maybe steroids in baseball or whether Britney Spears is a good role model for our kids.

21. all due respect to Leahy, but a commission is a whitewash and a truth-burying project. |
|
they all are. that is their job.
a commission would mean that the truth would never come out and that justice would be circumvented.
