'This week, sources close to Octo-mom Nadya Suleman told RadarOnline.com that her church was helping her locate a new home for her and her 14 babies.'
<snip>
'We can say, however, that she is not personally known to our pastors or staff. And to the best of our knowledge, Ms. Suleman's only contact with us was a minor inquiry regarding our Children's Ministry.'
'Ms. Suleman has also been credited with commenting that our church is in someway involved with the establishment of a foundation for donation distribution, providing her with financial assistance, and helping her locate a new residence. Our church is not involved in any of these activities.'
http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/02/this-week-the-publicist-for.phpThe church rejected her?!? The church? Wow. That's a powerfully sad message to Nadya Suleman, not to mention a bad reflection on the church. And man, she's got to be devastated. Whatever her intentions were to begin with, by now she must be realizing the enormity of her actions, and the sad reality that is hers to face, quite possibly alone.
I hate to say it but it was not even the birth of the octupletes (to a woman with her circumstances) that bothered me, as much as it's been Ms. Suleman's attitude. Her defiance, her excuses, the boatload of lies. People can be very forgiving, though, and generous. A little honesty could go a long way for her.
Edit to: fix sloppy copy/paste.
