Toilet tiff prompts Snellville mayor to have bathroom buddy
It’s official: Incivility in Snellville politics has gone to the toilet.

Since December, Mayor Jerry Oberholtzer, fearing potential skirmishes with a fellow council member, has asked for a police escort to the restroom of City Hall.

Oberholtzer said he requested the police presence after he and Councilman Robert Jenkins “exchanged words” in the men’s room a few months ago, although he couldn’t recall the nature of the bathroom brouhaha.

“I don’t feel comfortable around him,” Oberholtzer said. “I make it a point if I’m going to go anywhere, I’m going to have someone else with me.”

Police Chief Roy Whitehead, who has escorted the mayor to the restroom on a few occasions, said he was asked “to be vigilant” in an effort to avoid conflict.

We have Inspector Javert after Michael Phelps in SC, and now this in GA.
I'm glad to see that the gendarmes are solving and preventing heinous crimes.

2. Sounds like the mayor thinks the Councilman is the next Dan White.
I'm guessing if he's asking for an escort to the toilet he's pretty concerned. Men generally don't really like to admit to being afraid of somebody, even if they really ought to be.

3. So the mayor is giving the councilman a wide stance um... berth.

I remember being escorted to the bathroom myself....

WHEN I WAS FIVE....

There has to be more to this story.

A lot more.
