The GOP pin their hopes on a Great Depression in order to regain power |
|
No other way to spin it. They need a Great Depression to have any hope of regaining power anytime in the next decade or 2.
They are in mass voting against an EXTREMELY popular President's economic recovery jobs bill at a time when the country is facing its worst economic crisis since the 1st Great Depression.
Their only prayer is that the country continues to fall into depression. Their best hopes lie in millions of Americans losing their jobs and getting thrown out into the streets. Then in some bizarre twisted logic, they hope to sell the idea that Obama threw them out of their homes.
The GOP is finished.
RIP GOP.

More like America realizing what dumbf*ck Bush followers were when Katrina exposed him ...
I remember the ReRushicans tried to blame the $140/barrel oil prices on the Dems in 2004 ... and we see how that worked out, right?

that is what it has all come down too.
Now we see the likes of Halliburton, Blackwater, etc. becoming hopefully distant memories fading into the past.
However, I say NOT.
GO AFTER THESE DAMNED CRIMINALS AND MURDERERS!

7. They won't use bizarre twisted logic - they'll rush straight to racism |
|
and blame it all on letting a black man into the white house. Same way Hitler used the economic mess in Germany to point towards the Jews.
You either except the blame or look for a scapegoat - too many in America would pick the scapegoat rather than admit that many of their own actions helped contribute to this mess. "I got mine, fuck you" doesn't build or maintain a community (or nation) - but it sure leads to it's downfall.

10. The GOP is trying to pull off what they did in 1896. |
|
The Dems, President Cleveland especially, got blamed for the economic panic going on then, resulting in a GOP victory.

12. Of course! That's why they set it up. Shock Doctrine for the Homeland. |
|
Initiating and benefiting from economic collapse is a key tool in the Fascist armory.

they try to claim that a war got us out of the Depression ...
