Former Central Michigan University women’s basketball player Brooke Heike is suing the university and head coach Sue Guevara alleging discrimination because of her sexual orientation.

In the lawsuit, in U.S. District Court in Bay City on Feb. 3, Heike alleges Guevara discriminated against her and caused her emotional distress and physical injury during the 2007-08 school year.
