"Blackwater Dumps Tarnished Brand Name"

(AP) Blackwater Worldwide is abandoning its tarnished brand name as it tries to shake a reputation battered by oft-criticized work in Iraq, renaming its family of two dozen businesses under the name Xe

1. Pronounced ZEE.
All I can think of is the Costa Gavras film "Z." Of course, that was about the murder of a Democratic politician during a dictatorship....if they're looking for rebranding, anyone with a fig's worth of memory isn't getting a warm-n-fuzzy from that new "brand name."

4. I'd like to suggest Amway. It's got great name recognition ...
... and the mere mention of that name sends folks scurrying in all directions.

5. That's ridiculous
Even from a market standpoint. "Xe"? What the fuck? They might as well do like Prince and name themselves a symbol. I suggest the Jolly Roger.
