March on DC .... Freeper-style (Road journal & photos)

Excitement built as we all assembled at the meeting place:


That Ernest, the joker.. HAD to go with the low-bid for bus transportation.. A "furriner" got the bid"..:eyes: verry funny Ernie


Even Jim-Rob took time out from the fund-drive to join up with us..(Don't forget to donate)


My Sis (Freeperfrannie) and her hubby & kids joined in


Little Davie had to stay behind with Grammie (he's still hurting from that unfortunate foot surgery he had last fall)


Uncle Buddy flew home from his trip to Sweedenland so he could protest that commie Jane Fonda (Aunt Minnie BURNED the tape of Barbarella when she found it in his desk drawer :eyes:..)


Even the Shannon brothers are coming to DC this time. Eddie cashed in his 401-k (came within $20 of covering the trip), but his big brother Deke sold the old pickup and loaned him the money, AND had enough to pay for two nights at motel 6 on the way to DC


Here's a pic they took of the TV in their room.. (The room even had its own bathroom.. with a SHOWER)

Betty (remember her from the convention?) is coming too.


Hallelujah.. We took a rest break at a Walmart


Found the kids some shirts (aren't they clever?)


A few hours later the kids changed into their shirts when we stopped at a roadside rest area.(award winning, even)
The kids were a bit put off though.. They looked and looked, and never did find those snakes.


Dinnertime... (We had the swiss steak)


Day Two
The guys got a bit restless, so we took the Springfield exit and let them fish a while.. Booger caught THREE


Moms & kids looked at the minnows at the fishing lodge


Hugh's fish looked JUST LIKE someone we all love and respect seriesly.. We made him throw it back out of respect.


We stopped for some chicken later on when the kids got hungry.. (Don't you just love "road-food"..)


Ted found this around back, and was very confused. Why on earth would someone want to "ahem.. take liberties with a dumpster .LOL)


We found a little church, so we could get God's blessing for a successful protest


ALMOST THERE !1!111!!!1!!!

We got out the tent (gotta have shade for the ladies)


First task.. set up the potties.. ( BarbaraJo had a case of the
gotta-go-gotta-go-right-nows)
