Re: Hearts....Not for nothing...just my two cents here...not to ruffle any feathers...
...but if these hearts were buck a piece, A LOT more would be sold.

I usually donate ten dollars when these fund raisers come about. I donate because I want to support this website that I enjoy so much.

During the Valentine campaigns, when a price tag is placed on these hearts, the consumer in me, the one who feels ten dollars for two virtual hearts is a lot of money (especially lately) keeps me from donating.

If these hearts were a dollar a piece, it would make this fund raiser more fun. I think if these hearts were a dollar a piece I would double my usual commitment. It would be fun to feel rich and generous while passing out these hearts.

1. Thanks to whoever gave me the heart. I appreciate it.
I know a lot of people who work almost an hour to make five dollars.

2. Fast dimes are better than slow dollars.
Your marketing strategy has merit, IMO.

3. I have the same thought.
Right now money is really tight for some people.

At one dollar a heart someone could give away 5 hearts.

4. I get the same feeling when I go to the movies,
instead of charging up to ten dollars for popcorn and a drink, -charge less and we'd buy more.
