I sent him a message last week strongly urging him to support the stimulus package, and he obviously did a fine job of that.
Members of the GOP are calling him a traitor, a socialist, and calling for him to leave office, and I am sure he knew going in that this would ba a result of his vote.
I just emailed his office thanking him for his integrity and courage in supporting this bill, and telling him that this lifelong Democrat respects him and will support him in the future.
What ever he has done in the past, this act took political guts, and I do respect him and the other 2 Republican Senators who can still be decent human beings.

3. No doubt, but he did a great job with that bill, and I just wanted to let him know
we appreciate it when he does a good thing.

Kind of like training a dog.

4. Arlen has nothing to lose and is doing the right thing;
the man is terminally ill and when he passes he will be replaced by a democrat, most likely Chris Matthews (of hard ball). Bush screwed him after his (Arlen's) re-election and he could could care less about those who are running the GOP. He just brought much needed money and jobs to Pa....last I knew , that's his job, but I will give him the respect of a thank you.
