7. 1+Trillion for Research and Development of Clean, Renewable Energy
Pull the money from useless Defense programs like the Strategic Missile Defense and the Reliable Replacement Warhead, and plow them into green energy production.

It is the only way to go.

2. How many of us are economists? I'm not. I can't answer this question.

What I can say is I trust Obama more with this issue than the republicans.

6. I disagree: y and large DUers have a far better record pegging this economy than most economists...
If those in power & with influence had paid heeded what's been posted here over the last few years, we would not be in the mess we're in.

DUers: :yourock:

3. Considering Republicans Control the Media and Are Better At Spin than We Are...
I have to go with choice 3. Each time we need more money, they're going to cite this need as evidence for the failure of the first bill. "The first bill failed. Now those liberals addicted to spending are back to try to do more of what just failed. A good definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. The stimulus bill failed the first time and it's insane to think it will not fail again."

4. GOP is gambling that this is their key to win in 2012
The GOP will do all they can to make sure recovery will be stopped no matter what. They are hell bent on making sure Obama will not only be defeated in 2012 but they want the economy in such dire straights Amercians will happily buy into the Chicago School's Shock Therapy.

And with Harry Reid incapable of standing up for Liberal ideas I suggest we all stock up on canned goods and perhaps some small arms.....
