That's one thing I've been waiting for for some time.

Every since 9/11, Bush has kept this government lurching from one crisis to another. He started with terror alerts, then he got us into two wars. When people got fed up with the wars, he brought us back to anti-terror paranoia, then the economy tanked. It slowly improved, so Bush brought us the surge in Iraq, before the housing bubble burst, the banks started tumbling and the economy crashed.

The Bushies and fascists loooooove crises. They loooooove Shock-Doctrining us into submission. They brought us the PATRIOT Act. They brought us two wars. They brought us waterboarding, FISA, warrantless wiretapping, Katrina, Halliburton, No Child Left Behind, TARP, etc. etc. fucking etc.

I'm sick of our country lurching from crisis to crisis. We've been constantly forced to put out fires for eight fucking years, without having time to think things through, and that always results in shitty, shoddy government.

So now that we have an economic stimulus, some money flowing through our economy, maybe President Obama and Congress can stop fighting fires and start bringing some sanity back. We can slow down, think things through, and maybe implement some laws and policies that actually make sense.

It's time to pull out of crisis mode.
