And I actually didn't buy you a star--my remark about the star and the Ignore was part of a running joke with Canuckistanian which I mistakenly placed on your post because of a brain fart on my part. Once I saw my error, I thought, "Oh, what the hell? Let it stand. A little more confusion on DU won't hurt anything."

31. Why not do it with a Paypal account? YOu could maybe keep one credit card

with no annual fee, that you never put anything on. Paypal can be set up to come directly out of your bank account, but I think they require a CC as a backup. DU charges you $1 for the transaction if you use Paypal. If you donate $20, they deduct $21 from your account.

after my "morning round" on DU - went outside

fed the chickadees and nuthatches that landed on my head (they know I keep seeds in my pocket)

shoveled a wee bit of snow, made a fire in the old cook stove on my porch, visited a chum across the road for a few beers, made lunch on the fire, had a nap

and now I'm back on DU

OH -

remember that song decades ago about some guy was special cuz birds followed him around? -

well now I know - he might not have been that great -

I asked for some heart smilies to make ecards for my family and DUers came up with some fun stuff. I don't know yet how to transfer these images from an incoming to an outgoing post (I just copied and pasted them into emails)or I would show you. Do you know how to do that? :D

and will give you a "addy" like http something with either a .gif or .jpg after it

just "copy" it and "paste" it into your Post a Message window
