Just sayin'. He later died of the disease and she became very prominent spokesperson for preventive care and screenings and even had a well publicized colonoscopy on the air. But my point is that she continued to work (maybe took some days off like Edwards will do) while her husband was ill. Why should it be different for the Edwards'??

I remember that they announced his death on some national broadcast, and then mentioned that Katie Couric was his wife. I was quite surprised to hear that she'd had an ill husband. I actually ADMIRE her for the way she held it together and has taken care of their daughters, not to mention how she has worked relentlessly on colon cancer education, but you'd think she could have shown a shred of understanding for the Edwards.
