An FBI report details white supremacists’ recruitment of military personnel.

Domestic Skinhead groups are recruiting U.S. military members. They’re looking for “ghost skins”—personnel without records of white supremacist activity or overtly racist tattoos.

According to a recently declassified July report from the FBI’s Domestic Terrorism Analysis Unit, “extremist leaders have historically favored recruiting active and former military personnel for their knowledge of firearms, explosives and tactical skills and their access to weapons and intelligence in preparation for an anticipated war against the federal government, Jews and people of color.”

Between October 2001 and May 2008, 203 individuals active in the white supremacist movement had claimed or confirmed ties to military service. While that number is a small percentage of the nearly 1.5 million active-duty military personnel, the report notes, “the prestige which the extremist movement bestows upon members with military experience grants them the potential for influence beyond their numbers.”

A 2006 report by the Southern Poverty Law Center revealed that, in order to meet wartime recruiting goals, the Department of Defense had “relaxed standards designed to weed out radical white supremacists.” ........(more)

4. This is nothing new....

When I was in the AB, we had guys back during the first Desert Storm who were smuggling weapons out. Several others joined to get the military training.

I recently saw 3 firemen & 2 cops with AB tattoos here in East Tennessee.

Also know that people don't just get these tattoos, especially like the first one, just because they think they're cool or something. These tattoos are *earned* and are worn as badges of honor. Many wannabes have had their tattoos "repossessed", which means they were cut off of the persons body. Filleted off. It's not a pretty sight...

these dudes really do have to earn their tattoos, its the one group i hate having to deal with on a one to one basis.

10. The thing is, AB isn't *just* a prison gang....

They recruit outside, too. There are 1000's of members who have never been in a jail cell in their lives. The hardcore one-percenters though, they're a different story. They are the "warriors" of the bunch. They're the ones who will live, die and/or kill for their cause.
