GWB04-gate headed for special prosecutor
Edited on Mon Mar-26-07 12:42 PM by Perky
If the RNC refuses to give access to the emails because of issues of political content. (at some levels n ot unreasonable and at other completely not). There is ample ammo to appoint an special prosecutor who would be above the fray...God knows where this rabbit trail would wind up leading us.

:toast:

on edit: I alwsy get independent counsel and special prosecutor confused.

1. Didn't we do away with the independent counsel statute?
Maybe a special prosecutor....

4. We actually did away with the special prosecutor statute

If I'm correct, the independent counsel law sunset or something, so Patrick Fitzgerald's official title is "Special Counsel".

2. can't we call it "RNC-gate"?
Fuse "RNC" to a scandal forever, make it literally signify deceit, rot and corruption.

3. Remember how they stole our elections with the hanging chads crap?
The crooked corporate media laughing about hanging chads. So, true to form, bush's gang of theives used our own money to fuck us with. HAVA, or HAVRA - Help American Vote Republican Act - because god forbid we should count our own ballots.

5. My question is,
What makes Rove think he can operate in secret as an aide to the putz without any oversight at all. Where is that particular clause in the Constitution. The people's business is being intermingled with RNC business and that must not be allowed to keep going.

8. He could if it was to advise bushwad about national or other policy related to WH business
He can't if he is obstructing justice, committing a crime, or performing political business.

6. Not sure how that works, though
In the CIA leak (IIRC), Congress set forth for a special prosecutor but Fitzy was named by Bush/Comey. Obviously, Gonzo can't investigate himself. But, I don't know what the method would be for a special investigator/prosecutor and who would name him/her.
