A thought on the Libby trial....(Fitz is a brilliant tactician)

...Fitzgerald is a magnificient, thoughtful bastard. He foresaw the election results and rather than overplay his hand to start the trial before the elections he laid his trap for the other subjects and will probably call for another grand jury to hand down indictments against Cheney, Rove, Addington, et. al. He took an enormous risk and now we are spectators to the blood letting.

The figurative noose is tightening around the administration's neck and it's a safe bet that we will emerge from the nightmare soon.

2. Don't forget he never charged anyone with the actual leak. Just lying about it.

There was some discussion on how hard it would be to make the charges of leaking stick..which statute would be used and all. So this trial isn't supposed to be about whether anyone leaked..just Libby and did he lie about his role to the FBI.

Don't know if more information on the leak will result in new charges and ones based on the actual "leaking" action.

6. Randi Rhodes was on the air today talking about Brewster Jennings

and how harsh reprisals could have been for outing that whole operation. I wonder if we will ever hear the truth about that. What did happen?
