Frankly, he really seemed to go to bat for the stimulus bill. He may not like Obama as president, but one would not know that by his performance last week. That bill is not something his candidate would have supported.

I don't know. On the one hand, there has to be some level of party discipline. One cannot pull a Zell Miller and then expect to be our buddy again. On the other hand, I don't want us to be a bunch of robots where members of Congress are not free to disagree.

Joe's been behaving himself since President Obama had a little chit-chat with him right after the election...and I've been watching his voting closely. Yes, he's been on the right side, but you don't count your allies when the wind is at your back, but the other way around. Let's see if he stays with the party when it comes to defense or foreign affairs (especially Israel).

If anything, we need a couple GOOPermans...Snowe, Collins, Specter, Voinovich...I'm not particular. While Democrats angst about the 60 vote threshold, the GOOP and Pruneface McConnel are hard-pressed to keep his little coalition together. We've seen it over and over again...too bad the corporate media hasn't. The Stimulus Bill's passage was a HUGE victory for the Democrats and a devestating loss to the GOOP. Don't let anyone say different.
